Lochan View

Lochan View is an ecological new build project on the banks of a loch in north east Scotland. The brief from the clients was to design a purely sustainable home. The site was very constraining as it was north facing with a steep bank of trees. In front was a beautiful loch, this was to become the centre of the concept.

The building design would be rooted into the bank. Facing north but with a raised roof to allow for south light to warm the building. Slightly splayed the building is split into two sections; the living area and the sleeping area. The building will be constructed from clay block and timber with internal finishes of cork lime plaster and timber panel.
